HUKAMNAMA
DAILY HUKAMNAMA (MUKHWAK GOLDEN TEMPLE)
Daily Hukamnama Darbar Sahib, Mukhwak sri Harmandir Sahib, “Pehla” (First) Mukhwak Amrit vele Da Sri Darbar sahib, Golden Temple.
In Sikh tradition, Mukhwak is read daily at Gurdwaras (Sikh places of worship) after opening the Guru Granth Sahib at a random ang. It is considered the Guru’s message for the congregation and is meant to guide thoughts and actions.
The Mukhwak is seen as a direct communication from the Guru, offering wisdom, moral direction, or encouragement relevant to the moment.
The process involves a Granthi (scripture reader) or a devout Sikh opening the Guru Granth Sahib respectfully, often after morning prayers, reading the first Wakk (shabad) on the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This becomes the Mukhwak for the day and the holy events.
Sikhs reflect on the Daily Mukhwak meaning, applying its teachings to their lives. It may have themes like humility, devotion, or overcoming ego.
